AMCB Foundation Bangladesh participates in an 11,000 blanket distribution event in the Munshiganj district

On January 21, 2021, AMCB Foundation Bangladesh collaborated with the Munshiganj district branch of the Bangladesh Human Rights Development Commission, a Bangladesh charitable organization, to distribute blankets to the rural poor and needy people of more than 8 villages. The distribution was conducted in the Ichhapura Model High School playground in the Munshiganj district in Central Bangladesh. During the event, which was conducted using social distancing protocols, 11,000 blankets were distributed. AMCB Foundation Bangladesh provided and distributed 200 of those blankets.  Check out below for some photos and a television news report about the event.

This event is part of AMCB Foundation Bangladesh’s regular distribution program, which occurs in rural Bangladesh and occasionally in Dhaka city.  During these events, we will hold medical clinics at our rural medical facility and distribute necessary items such as food, clothing, blankets, sanitary items, and school supplies.  Some of these events will be done together with other charitable organizations.

We are planning additional events for the next few months.  All future relief efforts will take all necessary precautions related to Coronavirus and will follow the Bangladesh Government’s Coronavirus related restrictions. If you are interested in helping out, click here.
